My Hippie Hemp Earring and How I make them!

I have great fun making these mismatched Hippie Hemp Earrings so I thought you would like to see me making them!

Over the years of making Jewelry I have gathered a lovely stash of beautiful beads many of them leftover from previous projects. I thought it would be a cool & sustainable idea to use them up by making mismatched earrings! There all slightly different which makes them unique! It also works well for using up odd scraps of hemp too! Nothing is wasted! Sustainable fashion!

This Hippie earring has a really cool paper Fair Trade bead too! I love it, it’s made from recycled magazines! The flower patterned wooden tube bead is Chinese – I have often wondered how they printed these. Having experimented with printing Polymer Clay beads! The Hemptique hemp is dip-dyed sooo Hippie!!!! The macramé knot is a Chinese dewdrop knot, it’s one of my favorite knots it’s very pretty!

I handmade the French Ear wires hammering them out of raw brass. If you would like to see me do it, catch my earlier video!

I had great fun making the video. It was very low budget to make. I made the video with a cheap TroPro USB 1080p Webcam. I bought it on Amazon, TroPro is no longer available, but you can still find similar priced Webcams around £20! Recording it in Cyberlinks YouCam 9 £30.99 (but you can try it for free!). I trimmed the video and speeded it up in Powerdirector 365 also by Cyberlink ￡41.99 (but you can try it for free too!).

Finally I added the music and titles in Vimeo (Free!). You can do all sorts of cool things in Vimeo, I love how easy it is to make product videos. You can add all sorts of special effects really easily, and make really professional looking videos. They have a really good selection of music too!

Vimeo made a quick product video of out of my gallery images for my Hippie Hemp Earring. Practically instant! The images and music were added automatically and it looked sooo cooool! I thought you might like to see this too! All artistic credit to Vimeo!
